  • In order to support the MBTA address safety concerns and improve comfort for riders, documentation and assessment are provided across the oldest subway system in the USA, operating since 1893, including heavy rail (Red, Orange and Blue Lines), light rail (Green Line), commuter rail (Purple Lines), and Silver Line stations. Reports are done in collaboration with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger using a custom app that has improved efficiency and visibility of reports while collecting consolidated information including location, data, and photos.

Design services have been provided to improve and update signage for nine Blue Line stations. Signage includes wayfinding graphics and consumer navigation as a means to enhance the customer experience and offer consistency between stations. Design documents are complete as the project remains on hold.

All Taylor & Burns staff members have completed MBTA right of way (ROW) training as well as Keolis safety training. We believe transit matters and share the MBTA’s mission to provide safe, accessible, and reliable stations for users.
